More than 47,000 incidents of domestic abuse were reported to the police in Wales last year, though the number of actual victims is believed to be much higher.

Abuse is not always easy to spot as it can gradually get worse over time and signs can often go unnoticed for months, even many years. Often, what the victim sees is not what friends, relatives and neighbours see.

If you think you know someone suffering from domestic abuse, or are a victim yourself, call the free, 24-hour confidential helpline now on 0808 80 10 800.
