National Training Framework - Group 3

This section provides everything that you need to know about Group 3 of the National Training Framework.

Target Audience

Aimed at: Individuals in roles which require them to do more than “Ask and Act” and those who perform a “Champion” role.

The Welsh Government would like one in every ten people who are trained to “Ask and Act”  to also be trained to a higher level.

Group Outline

This training will build on the knowledge developed throughout the Group 2 training and will enable people to:

  • support colleagues as they make difficult decisions in relation these subject areas, help offer services to all family members affected by violence against women, domestic abuse and sexual violence
  • act as a champion within their organisation.

Training in this area is only available through the Welsh Government and is currently being piloted.  It will be rolled out nationally from 2016-2017.

If you would like to know more about training for group 3 please contact the Welsh Government Violence against Women and Domestic Abuse team: violenceagainstwom@wales.gsi.gov.uk.
